With sublime sea views and only a minute walk to the seafront, Creel House is your ideal base for savouring the charm of this traditional Scottish fishing village and exploring the East Neuk of Fife.
The house is decorated in a neutral palette throughout, giving a calming yet contemporary feel to the large rooms, which are light and airy in summer, yet warm and cosy in the colder months thanks to the central heating.
The unconventional layout - with the reception rooms and kitchen on the first floor – offers the benefit of clear sea views across to the Isle of May, whether relaxing on the sumptuous sofas in the spacious living room or enjoying a meal in the dining area, which sits eight people comfortably.
From here the large kitchen is accessed through double doors which can be opened allowing an uninterrupted flow of the space, which means the cook can be part of the fun while preparing delicious meals in the fully-equipped kitchen, or close the door on the dishes when it’s time to relax.
All four bedrooms are generously sized. On the ground floor you’ll find two double rooms, which have a king-sized and double bed respectively, as well a bright and airy twin room and the conveniently located family bathroom. The master bedroom, with king-sized bed, is on the first floor close to the shower room with WC and wash basin.
The utility room includes a washing machine, tumble dryer and a hanging area so that after a busy day you can take care of your wet outdoor things knowing they will be ready for the following day’s adventure.
The garage at the rear of the property is available for storing bikes, golf clubs, and other bulky outdoor equipment.
Typically for a traditional fisherman’s house, the outside area is small, but being only a pebble’s throw from the harbour provides plenty of opportunity to relax outdoors by the sea. There is also a children’s play park nearby for the little ones to let off steam.
Whether you are visiting the area for golf, the local beaches or enjoying nature and the coastal paths, Creel House is a spacious, centrally located luxury accommodation fully equipped with all you need for a memorable stay.
Anstruther Is a bustling seaside village in the East Neuk of Fife. It has a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants including the multi award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar.
Whether you want to relax by the picturesque harbour, play with a bucket and spade on the beach, or take a stroll along the seafront, everyone can enjoy the fresh sea air and seaside charm.
The beautifully preserved fishing port is part of a conservation area. Traditionally a fishing village, these days most of the boats are for pleasure, but if you want to learn more about the local history there is the Scottish Fisheries Museum.
In the summer months you can take a boat tour to the Isle of May to see the puffins, seals, and other coastal wildlife.
Creel House is a few minutes’ walk to the harbour, which means you have all you need right on your doorstep for a relaxing holiday. And it’s the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.
The East Neuk of Fife has a variety of beautiful beaches suited for different activities: You can explore the interesting rock pools at Kings Barns, play cricket on the flat sands of Elie or fly a kite at the West Sands beach at St Andrews - made famous by the film ‘Chariots of Fire.’
