Looking for something a bit different? If you are adventurous, embrace nature and love fantastic sunsets then The Croft is the place for you.

This most beautifully appointed, detached holiday cottage sits right on the shores of Loch Long on the glorious west coast of Scotland, less than an hour's drive from Glasgow. You can spend your time here relaxing in tranquility, watching the tide come in and out whilst following the antics of gulls, oystercatchers, eider ducks, gannets and porpoises to name but a few.

Inside the open plan living area is spacious and airy, with a fully-equipped kitchen at one end and a cosy sitting area at the other, where the comfortable seating is centred around a multi-fuel stove. The double bedroom is on a mezzanine level that overlooks the living room. The south/west aspect of the cottage offers stunning views and amazing sunsets and during the summer months breakfast can be taken on the lovely little private paved seating area.

A fearless fox and a family of roe dear have made the garden their own and can frequently be seen at dusk and dawn. In the autumn, rutting deer can also be heard from across the loch. As there is no light pollution around the night skies are absolutely stunning and amateur astronomers will be able to pick out many different stars and constellations.

There is direct access to the beach and a private slip to launch a small boat/kayak/dingy. Loch Long itself is a deep sea loch that offers a chance for you to try to catch your supper, with mackerel in the summer, as well as sea trout, pollock and grey mullet. The Croft is an ideal base for bird watchers, walkers, cyclists, kayakers and anyone wanting to recharge their batteries.

Please note: Due to the difficult access to The Croft, it is not suitable for people with limited mobility. Parking for The Croft is in the designated car park near the gate entrance. For guests with a 4x4, access to The Croft is possible via the beach.
