Overview

The cottage exudes character, with its high-quality upgrades tastefully complementing traditional features such as flagstone floors, exposed stonework, and beautifully restored wooden doors. Offering warmth and comfort with wood-burning stoves in both the kitchen/dining room and the main lounge, alongside a modern air-source heating system for extra cosiness on chilly days, Pitcarmick Mill is the perfect place to hide away. The furnishings throughout are of a very high standard, ensuring a luxurious feel in every room.

Set within a private, sheltered courtyard, the cottage’s main entrance opens into a practical utility room with ample space for boots and jackets. The adjacent kitchen/diner is beautifully appointed with a large dining table and French doors that open directly to a patio — perfect for al fresco dining.

The spacious lounge, with its inviting sofas and additional seating, overlooks the expansive enclosed garden, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. On the ground floor, there’s a spacious twin bedroom with lovely views over the garden. Upstairs, a light-filled hallway, with space to sit and read a book, leads to the impressive master bedroom. Its picture window and timber-beamed ceiling perfectly complement the stone tiles of the en suite shower room. The second double bedroom, featuring an exposed stone wall, is situated at the opposite end of the hallway, close to the main family bathroom, which includes both a bath and a separate shower. Soft, understated tones enhance the sense of quality and tranquillity, throughout the cottage.

The outdoor space has just as much wow factor as the cottage itself. The large, slightly sloping, south-facing grass garden is a delight! A picturesque burn tumbles through the grounds and can be crossed by a quaint wooden bridge to a hidden hammock nestled amongst the trees. For those seeking something special, the outside wood-fired 'Hikki' bath offers a unique experience, with the boldest bathers able to plunge directly into the burn’s natural pool for an invigorating dip.

Pitcarmick Mill effortlessly combines the serenity of its idyllic Perthshire hill setting with luxurious, comfortable accommodation. Despite its peaceful location, it is easily accessible — just under two hours from Edinburgh and a quick 45-minute drive from the lively city of Perth.

Please note - A small burn flows through the garden, so we kindly advise supervising young children at all times to ensure their safety around the water.

This 64-mile path winds through the scenic Perthshire and Angus Glens, following the historic routes once used by the Cateran cattle thieves from the Middle Ages to the 17th century. The path can be broken down into smaller sections, including a shorter 20-mile loop that takes you from Kirkmichael to the Spittal of Glenshee.

Blairgowrie (11 miles) is the area's main town, offering a variety of shops and dining options, while Kirkmichael (3 miles) has a local shop for basic supplies.
