Fortingall
Fortingall, near Aberfeldy in Highland Perthshire is a really pretty village with picturesque thatched cottages. It provides a lovely, peaceful setting for a holiday, set among the hills at the foot of Glen Lyon and only a couple of miles from beautiful Loch Tay, famed for its water sports.
Fortingall churchyard is the home of the Fortingall Yew Tree which is believed to be between 2000 - 5000 years old, making it one of the oldest known trees in Europe. Also, according to legend, Fortingall is the birthplace of Pontius Pilate.
