Cuildhu Croft has a lovely peaceful situation on the shores of Loch Linnhe near Port Appin, a picturesque wee village a few miles off the Oban - Fort William road, looking out across the water to the iconic Castle Stalker, familiar from numerous 'Beautiful Scotland' calendars!

It is a charming and traditional highland home, a real but 'n' ben, whitewashed, detached, standing in its own neat and enclosed grass garden, from where you can enjoy the stunning views, with just the tiny road between it and the shoreline.
Inside, it is 'bijou' in the best sense of the word, a lovely little retreat which would make a great honeymoon cottage. The living area is open plan, where a wood burning stove adds to the romantic ambience. There is a delightful double bedroom and a shower room with a walk in shower.
Port Appin is within walking distance and in addition to a couple of shops has two eating places, Airds Hotel and The Pierhouse, of international repute. From the slipway there, you can take the foot ferry (with your bikes if you wish) across to Lismore and cycle the length of this unique island, stopping for refreshment at the cafe and heritage centre as you go.
Back on the mainland, you can enjoy trips to Oban (all facilities), perhaps for some additional island hopping, or to Fort William, where you can take cruises on the loch, or climb Ben Nevis and mountain bike or ski at Aonach Mor.
Beyond there, you can make for the Great Glen and Loch Ness, or take the Road to the Isles out to the silver sands of Arisaig and Morar. Closer to home, there is riding just up the road at Lettershuna and a golf course at Ballachulish. Ballachulish is also the entrance to Glencoe, for some of the best climbing, walking in the country, plus, of course, skiing in winter.

'Lovely quaint cottage enjoyed our week there. Lots of walking eating and exploring. Log burner was grateful made it nice and cosy. Owner was kind as we got there late he had left the heating on and lights plus the fire all set just to light. Comfy bed slept like a log each night. '
