'Fantastic week on the beautiful Harris! Sea View House out did our expectations and was a lovely base for our holiday. The window seat is a prime location for watching the tide, birds and an otter! Thank you and hope to return. (Sea Harris trip to St Kilda and the Stacs was stunning.'
'We have had a wonderful time here! The views are amazing, the house is fantastic and the Island is a wonder! We will be back!!'
'Thank you for renting out your beautiful home to us, we have enjoyed it very much. We have seen an otter in the bay almost every day, woke up with the sound of birds (and sheep) every morning. Relaxed in the spa and of course discovered the island, despite really bad weather! Thanks again.'
'What a wonderful holiday! Great location, full of wildlife and great proximity to the other islands. We explored Harris and its beautiful beaches, we also explored Uist as well as the surrounding islands - absolutely fantastic! Didn't see the otter every day, but he/she is definitely there. Greylags and their young everyday.'
'Your home is amazing! Loving the style and artwork, the mid century look also! You have thought of everything! Very comfortable beds and cosy - hats off to you!'
'A superb week, book ended by seeing the otter at the back of the bay. Enjoyed the walk to Rodel Church and the ferry over to Berneray (10 minutes from the house). North Uist is a must for any birdwatchers and we saw a short eared owl, hen harrier and a white tailed eagle. The Isle of Harris Brewery in Leverburgh has excellent beer and pub grub. '
'We have had a fantastic week here, our second visit to Harris. Glorious weather, enjoyed sunshine and beach walks. Loved our trip to Berneray, the shop and bistro was first class. Met some lovely kind local people. Beautiful, comfortable house and what views! We will be back!'
'What an amazing spot for a family getaway. Enjoyed the amazing local beaches and our travel further afield to Hushinish beach. Kids loved the coastal walk to Rodel to see St. Clements church and they especially loved the the boat trip from Scalpay. The wildlife was amazing, highlight was the pair of golden eagles at the North Harris Observatory and a minke whale on the wildlife tour. The cherry on top was the sea eagle which appeared in the bay in front of the cottage after only being here for 1 hour! Will definitely be coming back'
'We have had a fantastic week, despite some challenging weather. We did the Northton Temple walk and we saw dolphins in the bay and a golden eagle against the side of the hill. On the Rodel walk we came face to face with a large otter, only 10 feet away! So many beautiful beaches and the ferry to Berneray and the day trip to Hushinish was well worth it. Thanks for the stay in this comfortable cottage in its beautiful position, with an otter in the bay outside!'
'We have had a wonderful week here, despite very mixed weather! Highlights for us were: Northon beach and the Temple walk, Scarista beach at high tide and a close encounter with a gold eagle! Sea View House is a delight'
'The cottage is like the Tardis ! Much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside! It was great having two sitting areas and a choice of window seats. The property is private and quiet, but conveniently located for the shop in Leverburgh, the ferry to Berneray, and the fabulous Harris Brewery with great food & beer. This is a perfect base from which to enjoy the whole of South Harris and its beautiful landscape and beaches'
'Loved being in the house & watching sea eagles and otters through the windows. The views are amazing & we have really enjoyed snuggling up warm and cosy, enjoying some Hebridean Hygge whilst storm watching. The cottage has provided us with a wonderful retreat, close to everything, but also quiet, private and spacious. Sea View House is a very special place in which to unwind, relax and restore in stunning Harris'
'Lovely week, very restful. Fantastic views out of the cottage window with glimpses of the otter & porpoises. Highlights: Drove the Golden Road & saw the seal colony, Northon Temple walk, impossibly beautiful beaches, more porpoises, sea eagles at Northon and in Strond, paddleboarding at Luskentyre, walk to the lighthouse at Scalpay and even more porpoises! A really fantastic week!'
'We have enjoyed the silence, the ebb and flow of the tide, and the seals, otters, eagles, oystercatchers, sheep and rabbits all in front of the house. '
'We had a wonderful time at Sea View House and would come back anytime. Very generously equipped and a beautiful view with many opportunities to observe animals. '
'It’s been wonderful to be back on Harris and we loved everything about Sea View House. The views are beautiful and everything is so comfortable. We enjoyed exploring old favourite spots like Rodel, a lovely walk with Eagles up in the hills and Scarista beach. We also found some new places to us such as South Lochs, which were remote and beautiful and felt a million miles from the world and its woes. Thanks for everything, we hope to return soon! '
'Thank you for a relaxing stay in this beautiful cottage. We enjoyed beach walks, a great walk to Rodel from the cottage (with eagle sightings!) and we can recommend the nearby Harris micro brewery (good beer, a lovely deli and great fish and chips). Thank you! '
